Air Liquide Honors Acme Team for Hydrogen Trailer Rehab.

Innovation was the order of the day for Acme Cryogenics this past November, when Air Liquide recognized the Acme team for unique design and quality performance on remanufactured hydrogen trailers.

Every year, Air Liquide takes a day to celebrate the principles of innovation the company professes as part of its founding doctrine. They organize events for participants that allow their vendors to challenge their boundaries create new and improved techniques and systems. Out of the 300 worldwide submissions this year, Acme Cryogenics was selected for its design and remanufacture process.

Acme's team presented Air Liquide with three redesigned and refitted Hydrogen trailers for their fleet. The "like new" trailers are in compliance with NFPA standards, but are unlike trailers of the past. By developing a new layout for the pipes, the team was able to place Acme bellows sealed valves and other controls in the front of the cabinet, allowing easy access. The Acme team also upgraded and replaced the trailers' suspension, brakes, safety features, electrical systems, and fresh paint. The new look is both easier to use, and easier to maintain.

"We are very proud of this award and are extremely honored to have it presented to our Acme Team. Our goal is to give our customers the very best design and product we possibly can.” Stated Jim Payne, Operations Manager, when asked about the award.

The Corner

At the suggestion of our new Marketing Coordinator and editor of the newsletter - Kate Yeager - we've added the "The Corner" as our way to provide additional communication and express our enthusiasm and appreciation for your continued efforts on our many different initiatives.

If you haven't met Kate, please welcome her to the Team. As we like to do with all new employees, please take the time to say "hello" and introduce yourself as she makes her way around our different plant sites and affiliated companies.

The Corner will be a regular component of our Acme newsletter as we the owners, Rod and myself, attempt to keep you up to date and abreast of all the breaking news for our Acme Group of Companies. We are both excited about the future for Acme and its team members.

For our first article, we will tell you how excited we are for the balance of 2005 and what we accomplished as a team of dedicated employees in 2004. We achieved our combined company annual sales goal. Although cost increases in materials, insurances, utilities, etc. negatively impacted our margins, we should all still be proud of achieving our sales goals.

... About the new members of our Team:

  • Medical Gas Management, LLC of Oklahoma City (MGM) is a great fit for our Group. Their focus is on medical gas services and equipment. They strive to be the best in the marketplace at what they do - as do Acme Cryogenics and Quality Cryogenics.
  • Our Houston service location further broaden our national service capabilities.
  • ... About our efforts with growth in the resale equipment division as they have tripled sales from the prior year.

... About the new products we continue to introduce into the marketplace, such as the CryoMaxx and Emergency Oxygen Connection.

... About how committed we all are about listening to our customers needs and continuing to provide better solutions to the marketplace.

... About the year ahead, 2005, as our overall market continues to improve. Our products and services are expanding and adding greater value to our customers. Our manufacturing processes continue to strive for improved efficiencies and lower operating costs as we attempt to minimize the impact of material, energy and other cost increases.

Finally, we are Proud and excited about you - ALL of our Team members. Working together as a Team, your actions and efforts define who we are in the marketplace. We are convinced that our Team is viewed as "one of the best”.

    CryoMaxx-1920-O2

Acme recently introduced its newest Oxygen delivery vehicle, the CryoMaxx-1900-O2. With it's low cost and easy maintenance, the CryoMaxx-1900-O2 is ideal for the distributor just entering the MicroBulk market.

The benefits of the CryoMaxx start at the tank. Acme is offering the option of a new tank, or our "like new" remanufacturing services. With our “like new” tank rehab, Acme can provide a used tank, when inventory allows, or refit your existing vessel. Either way, a new or remanufactured tank will save money.

The savings continue in the piping and valves. Acme uses only standard parts when constructing its piping systems, allowing us to lower costs. Standard parts also keeps maintenance simple, no more worries about getting the parts from specific manufacturers.

Acme also takes care to create a piping and valve layout that is user friendly. We place the important, often used valves, in easy to access places. Easy to access valves reduce frustrations and mistakes at the fill site.

Acme Cryogenics’ CryoMaxx-1900-O2 is a cost efficient, easy to use, easy to maintain solution for the MicroBulk marketplace.
