The Corner

For this issue of Chill'n, I would like to talk about a significant accomplishment the employees of Acme have achieved this past year. In January, our Mitchell Avenue Plant (MAP) reached "1000 Accident-Free Workdays!". The event, complete with a champagne toast and lunch, marked the equivalent of "working over five years with no lost time accidents". The owners, management team, safety teams, and employees are all very proud. As of this writing, MitchellAvenue is currently running at 1,150workdays accident-free and counting; and while we are on the topic, I would also like to point to some other important safety accomplishments within our combined organizations:

Quality Cryogenics of Atlanta, LLC has had zero lost time accidents since we acquired them in April 2001;this is equivalent to almost 1100 accident-freeworkdays.

Medical Gas Management, LLC has had zero lost time accidents since they joined our group in September of 2004, equivalent to 225 accident free workdays.

Speaking on behalf of our founder Rod Fink, myself, and the rest of our management and safety teams,"there is nothing we view as more important than the safety of our workers and workplaces." We are all very proud of these accomplishments.A special thank you to our employees who are actively working with our safety teams to continue these fine accomplishments.

Remember, make safety the first thing you think about as you start each work day,and we will continue to set new records for safety in our workplace environment.

Mike Fink

New Website Improves Customer Service

Acme Cryogenics launched its redesigned website, www.acmecryo.com. Features include a fresh new design, easy-to-navigate product catalog, and clean, structured product pages that emphasize Acme's focus on customer service.

Acmecryo.com's new design was structured around a site-map that flows intuitively through information and service pages with a product catalog boasting obvious product categories for hassle free customer navigation; allowing visitors to experience the site without getting "lost". Structured, product pages that display information uniformly across product categories and condense information, allowing for quick perusal of products so users can find the facts they need at first glance.

The overall look of the site was designed to limit page load time and confusion. Simple, clean graphics, easy to read texts, and muted, calm colors eliminate visual strain and make the information the primary focus.

Model S7100 Series Automatic Changeover Manifold

Acme’s Model S7100 SeriesAutomatic Changeover Manifolds are high flow changeovers for cylinder pressures below 2500 PSI designed to eliminate system downtime and achieve the maximum cylinder usage. The changeover setting can be set very low provided the outlet pressure is also low.

The manifolds incorporate two individual primary regulators with slightly different set pressures, so only one cylinder bank can be discharged at a time. A line regulator provides downstream adjustment for final pressure delivery.

Once cylinders have been installed, the changeover manifold will first accept flow from the predetermined primarybank. The S7100’s control lever points to the primary bank for easy identification. When the primary bank reaches a preset low pressure, the reserve bank automatically takes over.To replace the empty cylinder bank, the operator simply turns the control handle to switch priority.

In the S7100 Series, the S7100 is designed for pressure below 1500 PSI, and the S7110 for pressure below 2500 PSI.Both units are wall mounted and available in brass and stainless steel.

Safety Spotlight

Acme Cryogenics is growing and adding new employees in order to meet the needs of our customers. It's very important that we welcome our new co-workers and assist them not only in how to do their new jobs, but how to do them safely. The safety committee is constantly reviewing our new employee safety orientation. There are numerous tasks within the organization and a few hours of safety orientation can not cover every possible safety hazard.

Safety is a team effort. Everyone in our organization needs to project a safe working attitude. If you see a fellow employee working in a manner that you consider to be potentially unsafe, offer some assistance. Simply by looking out for each other, we can make Acme Cryogenics a safer environment. The safety goal every day is that everyone goes home without an injury.

If you see an unsafe condition, please bring it to the attention of your supervisor or a member of the safety committee.

Remember: You are the person most responsible for your own safety.
